Beckett is available for sponsorship only. He is a forever foster.

Hi I'm Beckett, also known as Bug. I arrived bright and early this morning all the way from Alabama! Well, shiver me timbers, it's mighty cold here in Wisconsin. Especially since I have significant hair loss on several parts of my body. My eyes are cloudy and my ears are infected but foster mom promised me she would take the best care of me and I will be very healthy very soon. I had a broken back at one time, I don't remember when but it has healed and I have a humpty spine that doesn't seem to cause me any pain. Foster mom is going to bathe me and take me to visit Dr. Cathy later this afternoon.

I got to go visit Dr. Cathy today. OH my goodness, I have double ear infections and infection in both my eyes. Dr. Cathy ordered me a multitude of prescriptions which I will start taking tomorrow. I also have significant arthritis in my back and hind legs which I will be on a daily dose of joint relief chews. Dr. Cathy also said I could start water treadmill therapy to loosen up my joints. I think that might be fun and will make me feel better.

The paperwork foster mom received from the HS says I was brought into the HS in Alabama in January 2020 with several health issues. I remember that day, I was on deaths doorstep. They kept me in foster care for several months until I was healthy enough to be adopted. I then went to my forever home, only to be taken to another shelter as an owner surrender. I was back in miserable shape again. I don't understand why my family didn't take care of me. I am very loving and just wanted a warm meal and a soft bed to sleep in.

Fast forward, A Promise of Love committed themselves to me and I was transported to Wisconsin. My age was listed as an 8 year old. But I am much older than that! My other vet in Beloit called me 'ancient' but very loving and adorable.

I am now neutered, had my dental and have had 20 visits to Katie's Lane for water therapy. I didn't enjoy being in the tank unless someone was in there with me. I seldom bark, but when I do I need to let you know I'm uncomfortable. As soon as someone joined me in the tank, I was happy and felt someone was close by to help me if I would fall. My eye sight is failing and I require 2 different drops in my eyes three times a day. My hearing is impaired, probably from so many unattended ear infections. I do have great skills finding my way around the house, inside and out. And my sniffer works overtime as I can find my foster mom and dad in an instant. My hair has all grown back in and I am a fluffy, adorable bug.

For now, I will be staying at my foster home because I feel safe and loved there. I get all the medical requirements needed without hesitation.

Thank you for listening to my story. Life can't get any better than it is. I will not be surrendered ever again and will continue to be a forever foster. If you would like to sponsor me and help pay for my monthly medications, APOL will be forever grateful.

With love and nose licks,

Beckett aka Bug
